Metys Pharmaceuticals AG is independent again.
On 27 November 2025, Michael Scherz re-acquired 100% of Metys Pharmaceuticals AG shares, including all of its development programs, in an all-share transaction with Novaremed AG. The acquisition returns control of Metys Pharmaceuticals AG pipeline to its founder, Michael Scherz.
Metys Pharmaceuticals AG remains committed to the development of dimiracetam for the management of acute and chronic symptoms of peripheral neuropathy that arise from chemotherapy-induced peripheral nerve injury. Further indications are foreseen in other conditions in which peripheral nerve damage results in progressive sensory symptoms, such as phantom limb pain and post-surgical neuropathic symptoms.
Dimiracetam is in preparation for Phase 2 clinical trials, and Metys Pharmaceuticals AG seeks investors and partners to finance and conduct these.
